Re: LMS Service cannot connect to Intel(R) MEI driver

In Device Manager, it says Intel 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset.

 

The Intel Driver Update utility shows:

Product Detected            Intel® 6, 5, 4, 3, 900 Series Chipsets           
                Current Version Installed                            9.1.1           
This version is valid.

The Intel Driver Update Utility doesn't seem to report on the MEI driver.

 

In Device Manager for the Intel MEI it says the driver version is 6.0.0.1179, even though I uninstalled and re-installed from

MEI_ALLOS_6.1.0.1042_PV

 

Since this has fixed my LMS Service warning message, my guess is that the version of the MEI driver has not changed since I bought my DELL Inspiron 15R laptop, but the MEI_ALLOS_6.1.0.1042_PV package contains another component (maybe the LMS service itself), that has been updated by Intel and corrects the problem.
