WiDi Flaky on Sony Vaio Flip 13 with Netgear PTV3000

Hello,

I'm struggling to get WiDi working consistently. It fails to project more often than not. My setup and troubleshooting to date:

Sony VAIO Flip 13 (SVF13N2C5E) with i7-4500U, HD 4400 and Dual Band Wireless-N 7260

  • Uninstalled and re-installed most current Sony OEM versions of graphics driver (10.18.10.3355) and WiFi driver (16.6.0.8).
  • Clean installed most recent generic Intel versions of the graphics and WiFi drivers.
  • Windows 8.1 Update 1 is up-to-date
  • Repeatedly removed PTV3000 from "Devices and Printers" with each failed troubleshooting step above.
  • Repeated reboots
  • Reset the PC to its factory state using the recovery partition.

Netgear PTV3000

  • Upgraded to most recent firmware 2.4.38
  • Hard reset the device

My TV also has its most up-to-date firmware. Occasionally, I am able to connect, however, any audio tends to be choppy and disconnections are frequent. I'm usually unable to re-establish a connection once again after I've connected once without resorting to either a reboot or removal of the PTV3000 from device manager. Most often I am unable to connect at all. The computer is able to find the PTV3000, pair with it, but no projection occurs.

A log file of a failed attempt is available here: http://1drv.ms/1kTigUm

Any help or suggestions for further troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated.

Ahmed
