Hello again,
I just upgraded from 0026 to 0033, and nothing changed.
However, I now think that I understand the problem. The NUC BIOS contains drivers for USB 2.0 (or maybe just 1.0) and HDMI, but none for USB 3.0.. So using an HDMI monitor I can enter and remain in the BIOS control screen by pressing F2. I see the BIOS control screen on the monitor. Pressing F10 then ENTER boots Windows 7 as expected. On the other hand, using the USB 3.0 monitor there is no driver for it in the BIOS. Yet pressing F2 does get me into the BIOS control screen; it just is not displayed on the USB 3.0 monitor. If I press F10 then ENTER, Windows 7 is booted.
Note: the drivers in Windows 7 are not active until Windows 7 has booted. Divers in the BIOS are the issue.
So if the above theory is correct, we with USB 3.0 monitors are not going to be able work with the BIOS until Intel puts a USB 3.0 driver in the BIOS.
