Optane 32GB failure with ASSERT_BA3C0 error code
Hello,
My 32GB Optane drive has failed and it's no longer possible to create a NVMe queue on it.
Further investigation using the Linux 'nvme' command indicates a health status of 'ASSERT_BA3C0',
I believe this is firmware error rather than a hardware issue?
# nvme intel id-ctrl /dev/nvme0
health : *ASSERT_BA3C0
Does anyone from Intel know what exactly this error means?
As a last resort I've tried updating the firmware using the Intel firmware update tool but to no avail (see below).
Many Thanks,
Stefan.

Re: LTE modem not detecting SIM card
Hi Eliza,
I decided to try rolling back to yocto and seeing if that fixed the problem. unfortunately it did not. So here is where is stands:
- The sim card is the right way around
- I am using yocto
- Using AT commands I can detect and read the SIM card
- mmcli -m 0 says the sim is missing
- every time I start the drone it is in airplane mode
- I can use an AT command to take it out of airplane mode but it still doesn't detect the sim card
so the problem is between AT and mmcli. Do you have any thoughts on why this is breaking?
regards
Jonathan
NUC7i3BN- Sleep shuts down nuc, but still blue night and fans on issue
Seems sometimes I have an issue when entering sleep, the nuc continues the normal sleep procedure but it seems to miss the last step. The power button is blue and fans spin. Then it is not possible to wake it, but needs a "hard reset".
Is this something that is a kknown issue?
Re: Matlab - How to get points from each fram of a .bag file?
Hi gpred,
The .m file must be in the same folder as the librealsense_mex.lib and librealsense_mex..mexw64 files which is where all the other .m files for the wrapper are located. Also, the function name and filename have to be the same. If you hover your mouse over the function name in the MatLab editor a little pop-up says that. If you name the function, "depth_example_ply" then the file must be named "depth_example_ply.m."

Alexandra
Re: Cannot update bios - NUC8i7HVK
Glad you got it updated. Since it is graphics related, I know of a case where updating the graphics driver allowed the bios update to work.
And, since updating the graphics driver also updates the audio, this may part of the problem:
Action needed before updating to Windows® 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809)
MikeLevine had a similar issue with his nuc.

Re: Software Access to FPGA GPIO pins
Hello JorgeG,
To access the GPS data, you would need to use an API like dronekit or mavlink to get GPS information:
https://github.com/intel-aero/meta-intel-aero/wiki/04-Autonomous-drone-programming-in-Python
You might also find these helpful:

Is this what you are looking for?Thank you,

Re: MATLAB RGB point cloud
Hello jjbos,
The RealSense team is working on an example to demonstrate how to do this but I don't have a timeline for when it will be completed. Meanwhile, you can check out this code: https://communities.intel.com/community/tech/realsense/blog/2018/10/03/unofficial-pointcloud-stream-viewer-in-matlab.
We need to figure out how to use the pcshow command and to use the same algorithm in the align.cpp example to make the depth and color frames the same size.

Intel S2600CP Sensor Error
Hi, I have a Intel S2600CP motherboard (Serial Number QSCP20900258 - Model Number E99552-505) with 16 x 16GB DDR3 1800 module memories populated, but in ESX 6.5 update 02 show me 04 sensor alerts
System Board 1 BB +1.35 P2LV CD -0.04 Volts
System Board 1 BB +1.35 P2LV AB -0.04 Volts
System Board 1 BB +1.35 P1LV CD -0.04 Volts
System Board 1 BB +1.35 P1LV AB -0.04 Volts
When I login to the Integrated BMC Web console - I see the following information in the sensor reading. All are green except these below.
BB +1.35 P1LV AB All deasserted Unknown Not Available
BB +1.35 P1LV CD All deasserted Unknown Not Available
BB +1.35 P2LV AB All deasserted Unknown Not Available
BB +1.35 P2LV CD All deasserted Unknown Not Available
When I go BMC > System Information > DIMM Information, nothing show me
All my memories are properly seated and are the same model and brand.
Can anyone tell me how to fix these and what these means exactly.
Re: No compatible disk for Intel Optane memory
Hi JesseB,
Thank you for the screenshot.
It’s weird that the module doesn’t appear there. That would mean the following:
- There is something at BIOS/motherboard configuration level that is preventing the M.2 device to be read properly. This may be possible when SATA devices are also connected in ports that share bandwidth with the M.2 slot. We already checked this before but just to be 100% sure, please disconnect the drives from the motherboard and keep the Intel® Optane™ Memory connected. You won’t be able to boot, but it is not necessary as you only have to go to BIOS and confirm if the Intel® Optane™ Memory is still not visible in the Peripherals tab (same location as in last screenshot).
- The module is damaged. If the module is still not visible after disconnecting all drives and making sure nothing else could be causing interference with the M.2 slot, then the only thing I can think of is that there is something wrong with the module itself. If this is the case and considering the fact that you bought the module a couple of weeks ago, according to your original post, I recommend you to contact the place of purchase and explain this issue to them. They should help you with a replacement as the module should still be under the warranty period.
Please try the option 1 first, but if there is no change, then go with option 2.
The thread will keep open so you can still posting here. I’ll continue helping you, however if the module is damaged it’s always recommended to contact the place of purchase for warranty.
Have a nice day.
Regards,
Diego V.
Re: NUC7PJYH no video or no audio
Hi Jens,
I'm afraid you are right and your problems might be related to a "limited" HDMI 2.0 support. I had to disable HDMI 2.0 support on my Samsung TV to make it work normally. As a result, I am actually using HDMI 1.4 and working on 30Hz.
It looks like Intel tried to integrate HDMI 2.0 support in Gemini Lake CPUs (UHD 600 and 605) and did not succeed. At least all the newer CPUs (with UHD 630, UHD P630, and Iris Plus 655) officially support only "Max Resolution (HDMI 1.4)‡ 4096x2304@30Hz". See, e.g.,
Intel® Xeon® E-2186M Processor (12M Cache, up to 4.60 GHz) Product Specifications
Intel® Core™ i9-8950HK Processor (12M Cache, up to 4.80 GHz) Product Specifications

Re: Intel NUC 7CJYH ignoring UEFI setting WLAN and poweroff issues
Hello Antony,
I tried getting into BIOS recovery with the 7CJYH and it was impossible.
- Neither the Powerbutton Menu appeared (like other NUCs where it's working as expected 7i3BNK / 5i3RYK ) pressing in all possible combinations the power button (instead after a while screen shows "BIOS detected unsuccessful boot attempts"),
- nor the removal of the BIOS security jumper gave me the chance to try to "recover" to BIOS 0044 (no screen).
It is symptomatic for this model - only troubles so far.
You got one bug more on your list now: Powerbutton Menu not appering / recovery mode not possible (instead after a while screen shows "BIOS detected unsuccessful boot attempts")
Received the NUC(s) from factory with BIOS 0031 on it and first thing I did was update to 0044.
Have a second 7CJYH here and it's same behaviour, WLAN in UEFI disabled, WLAN active in Windows.
Nothing else is connected to the NUC other than HDMI and keyboard/mouse
Regards,
MOWCJ
Re: Disable Intel display power saving technology in plugged in mode?
On the older HD Graphics Control Panel, you could disable it. On the newer versions
of the Control Panel, Intel removed the option to disable this extremely annoying
adaptive brightness feature! IDIOTS. They can't seem to do anything right. Nobody
wants this EXTREMELY ANNOYING behavior and people are wasting HOURS
trying to figure out how to disable this.
Re: The last graphics driver for i5-6200U Processor
Hello Stefan,
It seems like another problem persists for this laptop Lenovo 15.6 '' B51-80, after making the update to the latest version of the video card drive, it looks like Microsoft's update reinstalls the old version of drive version is 12.15.23.8!
To be able to use the latest version of drive, I have to stop updating from windows because it forces me downgrade for video driver!
How can i solve this problem?
